HONMA BERES PP-502 BIG MALLET — STABILITY AND FORGIVENESS AT ADDRESS

The BERES PP-502 is a large mallet-style putter built for golfers who want an easy setup at address and strong resistance to mis-hits. The oversized head shape and aluminum sole — enhanced with stainless steel weights positioned at the toe and heel — deliver optimal center of gravity placement that measurably improves ball roll off the face. Every PP-502 is custom built by Honma's TAKUMI craftsmen at the Sakata, Japan facility. Allow 8 to 12 weeks for assembly and delivery.

CNC-MACHINED CONSTRUCTION AND DOUBLE MILLING FACE

The body is CNC-machined from SUS303 soft stainless steel, a material chosen specifically for its feel and sound characteristics at impact — the kind of soft, muted response better players associate with premium putters. The new double milling face pattern is engineered to produce consistent topspin and a true roll immediately off the face, reducing the skid phase that causes early mis-reads on speed.

BENT SHAFT NECK AND WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION

The PP-502 uses a bent shaft neck configuration paired with toe-heel stainless weighting, positioning mass at the extremes of the head to maximize MOI within the large mallet shape. The result is a head that resists twisting on off-center strikes, holding line and distance more consistently than a blade-style putter under the same mis-hit.

FINISH AND SHAFT OPTIONS

The PP-502 is available in three finishes — Black, Silver, and Gold — each carrying its own total weight specification. Shaft options span the full range from stock steel to Honma's premium ARMRQ FX putter shafts at 3-Star, 4-Star, and 5-Star grades, allowing you to match shaft feel and weight to the rest of your BERES bag.
